Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

When she was a young hatchling, Black Ice Maker witnessed a great tragedy. In a cave deep in the mountains of Bulgaria, lived a small trio of dragons that Black Ice Maker loved deeply. One day, as Black Ice Maker was visiting this trio, a small mob of Bulgarian villagers stormed into the cave. The trio pushed Black Ice Maker into a hidden alcove before the villagers could see her. From that alcove, she witnessed the bloody slaughter of her three best friends.

Since that day, Black Ice Maker has had a fierce hatred of all humans. For centuries, she roamed the coldest parts of the planet, constantly creating ice storms that left human roads paved in slick and deadly coats of black ice, which caused many humans to slip and fall to their death. After several centuries of this, Black Ice Maker returned to her childhood home; where she met her soul mate, Frosted Platinum, and settled down to have a family.
