Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The strange child of a conflicted father and an honest mother, this male has always been at odds with himself. There's one side of him, a very powerful side, that sneers at all ideas of family and monogamy and sees no reason to pick only one female to breed with--much less to stick around and rear the offspring. But the other side of him is gentle and kind, and yearns for the feel of a family called his own. While he thus struggles to keep his lust and lewdness under control, he is, in many other ways, a highly respectable dragon. Loyal to a fault to those he considers friends, brave in battle, and firmly believing in justice when it comes to those who do cruelty and violence, he plays the part of a good Christmas dragon surprisingly well. In no small part due to his struggles, he befriends other males more easily than females, often quickly breaking off ties with the latter out of fear his darker yearnings will hurt them.
