Falconiform Wyverns are normally shy creatures. However, when approached, they often feel threatened, and the flames along their bodies leap higher. Females tend to be smaller than males, though Falconiform Wyverns are typically rather large overall. They use their size to their advantage by hunting smaller dragons. The Falconiform’s graceful, swooping dives are said to resemble birds of prey. Falconiforms are largely solitary dragons that only meet in order to breed.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Jekarta hangs around the edges of the lands of the clan. She prefers to be on her own and honestly the huge organised clan of dragons looking out for each other has made her life really hard hunting-wise. Not only because the Pygmies and Mints are always close enough to a Black or Royal Blue for them to spring to their rescue, but also because there are so many dragons living in the area that prey isn't exactly over-abundant. But Jekarta simply can't stay away, although it would certainly be easier and the clever thing to do, she is far too fascinated by such a huge group of individuals basically living together in harmony. She still tries to figure out what makes those clan dragons tick and why they even accept a human as one of their own. Until she can figure that mystery out, she will live with the disadvantages her proximity to the clan brings her.
