When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Mischevious, the antics of Bountifess are not as restricted to the water as one might expect. In fact to think about it, the water itself is safer from her brand of fun than the shoreline. It seems the more difficult some prank is too pull off, the more drive she has to show that she can do it. Her territory is the more brackish areas of the marsh, where the steeper incline provides for deeper water and a more defined shoreline. A tributary enters the area near here, and it is a favoured drinking spot, if a little farther than other available places. Despite her tricksy ways, she is gentle, cruelty is abstract to Bountifess. Lately her schemes of fun have taken a back seat to a mysterious affiliation with the sea dragon Murkalurk, whom some of the adults think may be being baited into the area by Bountifess with the intent of enjoying a different kind of fun. Wouldn't put it past her.
