Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It enjoys swimming in a nearby pond.

And look! Its fins and tail have gotten bigger, and you’ve moved it to a larger body of water to swim in. It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

After bargaining away his maturity to a powerful being in exchange for certain powers, Pond Tiger became one of the Ageless, forever trapped in the body of a hatchling. Though he often feels bitter when he thinks back on making the contract, he does not regret his decision. He feels that what he did was necessary to stop evil from destroying his home.

While still being small in stature, as well as shy, Tiger will often use the powers granted to him to protect the valley lake he calls home, as well as its other inhabitants. He has on more than one occasion discouraged any human activity that would have been harmful to the lake and the surrounding area.

Tiger's best friend is the black dragon Ailirah de Ramah; she is also one of the Ageless. Tiger will often patrol the banks of the lake while Ailirah takes to the forest, making sure the valley stays protected.
