Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Ever since it hatched, the sky has been full of very dark clouds.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing. It’s learned to use its new wings quickly and you now have a hard time keeping it on the ground.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Storm Sparrow is one of Dragontown's more colorful characters—and in a town with a herd of waterhorse dragons, two magi shopkeepers, a white dragon healer, pygmy dragon pest control, nocturne guards, and their own branch of the skywing-run Zephyrus Couriers, this is saying something.  During the day, she's often found playing in the fountain in the town square, terrorizing pigeons, or waiting outside the butcher's shop (or the bakery, or the cheese shop) begging for treats.  At night, she often serves as a watchdog for various merchants by guarding shipments.  She's very effective—burglars rarely expect an aerial assault, and her dark colors make her almost impossible to see when on the ground.  Storm Sparrow is also fond of bad weather, and loves to fly during severe storms, letting the wind and rain buffet her.
