Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Oxnar Goldenflame is very old-fashioned and unyielding in his opinions, often speaking at length about the proper roles of females and condemning what he feels to be unnatural relationships.  After being soundly out-argued by Lydenza and then becoming the recipient of one of Ursegarm and Ahuo's "flush out the miscreants" partner acts, Oxnar has at least grown more careful about who he spouts his opinions to, but still remains one of the least-liked dragons at the Goldenmage Assembly.  

Oxnar also feels that Tynef is weak and unfit to lead.  He has tried to get Xeldara's support in overthrowing Tynef, but she just laughs at him—she may like to question authority, but that doesn't mean she can't recognize a good leader when she sees one.  

Since Oxnar is a reliable and dedicated researcher, Tynef grudgingly allows him to stay, but the instant Oxnar's words threaten to lead to actions, Oxnar will find himself in need of a new home.
