Dragons are creatures with nearly unlimited life spans. They can survive for long periods of time, and no one has found a dragon that has died of old age. Adolescence is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Once they hit adolescence, hatchlings change quickly, maturing to their full forms in only 2 years.
Dragons don’t communicate with each other verbally, but they will growl to scare off predators and frighten prey. Young dragons will emit an extremely high-pitched squeal when they are frightened. To communicate, they use telepathy with each other and to speak to other creatures.
It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.
Bahia Bakari tried to follow her mother while she was flying over a deep sea. She didn't notice that the hatchling was following her, so she also didn't notice that Bahia Bakari wasn't strong enough to manage that flight and came down to the water. She spent hours in the cold water, crying for help, but nobody was there to help her. When the night came, Akoya and Platin Northbound found the half-dead hatchling and brought her to their cave. Since that day Bahia Bakari lives with the other dragons and the only remains of that incident is her hydrophobia, apart from that she is a kind and shy dragon.
