Two-Finned Blunas are a very social breed of dragon, living in packs of dragons called “pods.” Blunas are very curious and playful creatures and several dragons in a pod will often “play” with one other, chasing each other around, tossing seaweed back and forth, and riding ocean swells. They are occasionally seen swimming alongside whales and dolphins.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Little Tides has always been a rather shy, nervous girl. She's not unfriendly, but has a strange fear of being rejected by everyone she meets. It doesn't help that she is extremely self-doubting and overly modest. Tides believes she can't do anything right.

This odd belief was strengthened after the birth of her oldest son, Bottled Ocean. His father left Little Tides after he was born, claiming that he didn't really care for her anymore. This broke her heart and made her vow not to fall in love again for a very, very long time.
