Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Shadous of the Night is a very dangerous dragon. His clan is very frequently at war with one clan or another, and they saw fit to make an assassin of one of their members. Shadous had long enjoyed the hunt, and is an expert at remaining unseen in darkness. He is also a very capable fighter, and an expert on causing death with a single quick strike or spell. This made him the obvious choice for clan assassin, but before he could begin he still had to learn to fly quietly (which is more difficult than you might think) and also learn some first aid, for behind enemy lines there is no medic to take care of him if he is injured. Since his short training was completed, he has successfully assassinated several important figures in the enemy clan, and has helped turn the current conflict in his own clan's favor.
