Breed Limits
Although there are normally no limits on the number of dragons of a specific breed you may obtain, certain special dragons, such as limited-edition dragons given out during holiday events, have limits placed on them to ensure that eggs are spread around. These limits are totals that apply to the number of eggs, hatchlings, and adults you may have.
If you are at the limit for a breed of dragon, you will not be able to grab any eggs of that breed from the cave or abandoned page. Eggs bred while at the limit will be given a 30 minute grace period before being automatically abandoned. This grace period is increased to one day for eggs being traded.
